Faint line or evap??

Hi, is this a faint line or is it an evap? I’ve had 5 tests like this today slightly after 10 minutes. Surely having so many it can’t all be evaps? Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks

Cas112 · 07/08/2022 23:01

I would say defo is a positive

Michelle1219 · 08/08/2022 00:15

This happened to me, the cheap ones said I wasn’t, the clear blue I had a faint line. Buy the clear blue one that tell you how many weeks as this one literally says the word “pregnant” on the digital screen. The cheap ones were wrong for me.

Michelle1219 · 08/08/2022 00:25

I done this and it said not pregnant 🤦🏻‍♀️

I hate clear blues for this! I had so many change to positive although mine were a few hours after. 10 minutes seems like it could be possible! My fingers are crossed for you- could you get a FRER?

Michelle1219 · 08/08/2022 00:46

@Thestoppedfan thanks for replying! i take it you weren’t pregnant? And did yours look similar to mine?
I’ve checked every shop near me and somehow I can’t get FRER anywhere! Surely all 5/6 clear blue can’t have evap lines🙄 the are so strong too. Just don’t want to get my hopes up

I have had cramps and the past few days but apart from that no other obvious symptoms

The lines are so thin which would make them more evap lines I think xxx

Michelle1219 · 08/08/2022 07:44

@FirstTimeTryer93 I know I thought that, I’ve never had evap lines before within 10 minutes and when I have had them they’ve never been a consistent line and so bold! Ugh it’s hard to say x

@Michelle1219 can you get a first response and try that? I did a cheapie Tesco one and it’s came up thin like yours so wasn’t sure but first response was clear positive and clear blue this morning is 100% will add pics of mine.
(first and second pic were 4 days ago approx)

Edit sorry just seen can’t get first response maybe could you order online? X

Michelle1219 · 08/08/2022 12:27

@Mum2be86 yes I will order one online! I just keep thinking because it’s taking so long to come up it can’t be a positive 🙄? The sainsburys one was the same as clear blue after about 10 minutes but the Morrisons cheapie was negative. I just wondered what the chances were because it’s taking so long to come up!

@YummyMummyXoX I haven’t missed my period yet. I’m due this week, is it too early for blood tests? X

I would advise saving your money and hanging on a few more days. Testing too early is just going to cause confusion and anxiety. If you can't wait, Savers or Asda do some test strips (without plastic casing) for a pound or so. Fingers crossed & baby dust 👶

Michelle1219 · 08/08/2022 14:43

@Vincitveritas thank you. It’s just so hard!! I’ll get those strips from asda or savers and try that🤞🏻 I just wondered if it would be too early for a blood test. I’ll try to hold on and not test too much for a week or so!

Best of luck OP 🤞 I'm sure a blood test would pick up a pregnancy but the GPs wouldn't do one, you'd have to go private, which I would expect takes some time. If you phone the docs about a pregnancy they'll usually just ask you to self refer to the local hospital midwifery team. Every day you leave to test the hCG levels get stronger and easier to pick up. It also depends on when you ovulted and therefore when the egg implanted - sometimes it's later than others. Tests can vary in their sensitivity but I'd say the First Response Early Result one is pretty good.

I would honestly wait for your period to start if it's going to. Hcg can do funny things numbers wise so it can cause even more confusion. I had them at epau and mine weren't doubling every 48 as they 'should'.
I have long cycles anywhere from 5 - 6 weeks+ I wasn't due on yet so was suprised with the faints on cd 30. I only used coearblue digi the same day I had the faints. I got clear as day bfn from first response suprisingly. X

YummyMummyXoX · 09/08/2022 08:45

Also if your weeing on sticks very often the urine doesn't get chance to build up hormone so will be bfn. You need to wait a good few hours. X

Michelle1219 · 09/08/2022 18:47

I did first response and it was negative… my period should be here in a few days so I guess I’ll just need to wait and see x
