Hey ladies

Really disappointed.
23 weeks and have a heavy sensation down there. Looked in the mirror and there are 2 visible balls about the size of grapes sitting at the entrance of my vagina. Worried me silly! my partner is even so shocked at the look of them I have a 3 year old never had this in pregnancy last time or at all after

my midwife told me to contact GP- GP sent me to the pregnancy unit as they will have a better check (she didn’t look this was a telephone appointment)

well the doctor at the pregnancy unit didn’t even open my vagina. She asked me to open it slightly as I lay on my back then said that’s normal. I argued my point that I have never had 2 lumps this size just sitting at the entrance of my vagina this definitely isn’t normal for me. She then said it could be pregnancy softening everything up and it’s showing more- I then asked if that means prolapse and she was very dismissive and said no it’s not a prolapse everything is fine down there!. She seemed like she couldn’t be bothered to be there and was very rushed as it was quite busy. She didn’t touch it look or inspect in any way. I feel so let down and worried.

is it worth me paying for a private check up? It is clearly not normal I have never seen anything like it it looks like 2 grapes sitting at the opening.

has anyone else had this please?

thank you x

I know it's easier said that done but unless you are in pain and having issues I've found it's best just not to look down there 😆 A lot of things change being pregnant (not to mention post birth) that makes down there look totally different. I've found I'm swollen and definitely won't look my "normal" self.
Im on baby number 3 and had a episiotomy with my 1st and definitely hasn't looked the same since. But there's nothing wrong it's just part of the parcel.
I'd ask your midwife to have a look at your next appointment if your still worried, they've seen a million and I'm sure will be more than happy to help. Try your best not to worry pregnancy does a lot to your body, be kind to yourself and keep up your pelvic floor exercises xx
