Line progression easy@home tests - no change between 16-18dpo

Hi all. This is my fourth pregnancy after 3 losses this year so I'm a little more obsessed about testing than I should be.

I have been doing easy@home tests from Amazon which have been progressing but since Fri (it's now Sunday) there hasn't seemed to be much change. This is between 16-18dpo. I did one on 17dpo which actually now seems darker than today's :( I chucked that away as i was at a friend's and she said to throw it and not obsess. So it's not included in the group pic.

Am attaching... See group pic from 11dpo, up to today 18dpo (didn't test every day). And I got 2-3 on clear blue today which is right as I'm 4+4.

Also attaching the lone 17dpo and lone 18dpo. What do we think?

Is this brand of tests a bit unreliable/ prone to not clearly going up every two days? Do we think this is ok for 18dpo? Just worried as doesn't seem darker than two days ago, and yesterday may have even been darker than today's 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Any reassurance would be much appreciated as I'm v nervous after my previous losses. I used FRer last time for progression so not used to these ones.

Thank you ❤️

Line progression isn’t reliable or accurate in predicting pregnancy outcomes. Different batches of tests, and even individual tests, along with urine concentration, time of day etc. will all effect the saturation. You are pregnant, step away from the tests.

Skylark1990 · 07/08/2022 08:31

@SaltySeaWitch thank you I know but it's hard not to worry. I'm actually thinking today's definitely seems lighter than yesterday. I guess maybe it was just a diff batch but both are FMU! 😩

There's only so much dye in any pregnancy test, so once youve reached that limit it won't get any darker!

Totally understand your anxiety but it's really not helpful to keep testing as line darkness isn't remotely reliable as an indicator for pregnancy success.

With previous losses you should be able to get an early scan with your EPU. Or see if your GP will do HCG blood tests?

Wishing you well Smile congratulations!

Hi,

Sorry to jump on. I’m in exactly the same boat and wondered what your outcome was? Am frantically googling line progression pictures!

Mas05 · 13/10/2023 11:33

@Skylark1990 @Ttcafterlosss Any update please?

Oldandtrying23 · 20/11/2023 08:05

I finally got a BFP at 10DPO after 3 losses this year. I’ve been using easy@home but also struggling with line progression. Have used clear blue weeks indicator and first said 1-2 and now 2-3 which is right but still I’m stressing over the lines 😩 not once got a darker control line and am 20dpo now. Middle pic is my latest tests

I never got a dye-stealer or much progression either despite seeing photos of other people's line progression! I'm now 34 weeks. Throw them away and start to believe you're pregnant!

Oldandtrying23 · 21/11/2023 09:08

I’m trying hard but having been here a few times this year I think I will struggle all the way through. Day by day I think

trebuvie · 21/11/2023 17:46

@Oldandtrying23 I also am obsessively doing these tests! They come in such big, cheap boxes so it convinces you to test basically every time you go to the bathroom... When my partner comes home I'm going to ask him to confiscate them from me because I keep obsessing over the slight variation hour to hour! Also using easy@home

MoonIightDreamer · 21/11/2023 18:06

@Skylark1990 as a serial tester my advice is to stop testing!
You'll drive yourself absolutely bonkers.
I saw hardly any change in any of my easy at home tests up until 20dpo when it finally got darker. I was so concerned I went for a hcg test. I'm now 6 weeks and there's no change in easy at home but clearblue digital did move up the weeks.
To be honest I think the tests only have so much dye in them .
I wish I could have told myself this but a positive is a positive. Seeking reassurance from test lines isn't going to give you that

The thread is over a year old so hopefully they’ve had their baby by now.

trebuvie · 21/11/2023 18:13

Haha it's reassuring for me. I need to put the easy@homes away!

MoonIightDreamer · 21/11/2023 18:32

Oh dear I only noticed. Where do people find these old threads

Oldandtrying23 · 21/11/2023 18:48

I see a lot of posts about this brand and the lines so maybe they are notorious for progression. I lost my last baby with a string line from the start so who knows which way will go

Skylark1990 · 24/11/2023 21:31

@Mas05 and others

Haha I just came on here randomly as I got a PM and saw all these posts!

My pregnancy from these tests continued and I had a healthy baby girl in April this year 😊

Step away from the tests! They just cause madness. So hard I know. After I stressed about these ones I stopped testing and it was much better for my anxiety.

Sending lots of baby dust to everyone xx

@MoonIightDreamer I'd also echo this. I think I did do a couple.more from this brand of I remembering right and they were properly dark but only very late on. It takes ages for them to get darker. Definitely no point testing every day or even every second day with them x

Unfortunately mine turned out to be right though. Just had a miscarriage at 5+1 this was not like the chemicals of previously so I’m not sure if I was further than I thought. Am absolutely devastated it’s happened again.

Ttcafterlosss · 25/11/2023 15:58

Ah I am so sorry @Oldandtrying23 . It’s just so devastating. I really hope you
can get some answers. We ended up going private after 5 miscarriages and I am
now 18 weeks pregnant. Praying that this is ‘the one’. Happy to answer any questions if you would like when you are ready, but in the mean time look after yourself as much as you can. It’s just so awful. 😞 🫂🫂

Oldandtrying23 · 26/11/2023 07:30

Thank you so much for your message. We will look at that but I think we will give it a break just for the rest of this year. Start afresh next year hoping 2024 is different 🤞😭

Ttcafterlosss · 26/11/2023 09:41

This sounds so sensible. Miscarriage and trying to conceive is all consuming and such a horrible way to live. We took 4 months ‘off’ over the summer and just tried to cram in as much fun as possible, as well as eating really well and being really active. My mindset was totally different by the time we started trying again. I really hope the break goes some way in helping you to heal both physically and mentally. Xx
