5 weeks and one day today.

I had a chemical pregnancy last month.

Tested on day of missed period and have been having continuous strong positives.

Yesterday was the most pregnant I have felt since starting this journey. ALL DAY burping, tiredness, boob aches and such well into the night. So much that a friend asked me was a pregnant.

I woke up late this morning and felt I had a sore back. Was wiping after taking a pregnancy test and seen a smear of light pink blood. I checked the test and it only had a faint positive. Wiped again and there was more pink blood.

I still feel pretty nauseous but no blood or spotting or anything since. A bit crampy but nothing that would seem unusual.

Don't know how these things go but was expecting more blood and pain? Can anyone advise?

It could either be implantation bleeding or a miscarriage. I would ring your doctors to get your bloods done to see if your levels go up. Also keep an eye on the bleeding I had pink bleeding with my miscarriage and it got darker and more red and got heavier so just keep an eye on the bleeding. If it stays pink and light then it's most likely implantation bleeding but better to be safe than sorry so I would go and get checked. Wishing you the best and hope everything is ok :)

Thank you for the reply.

I had a light pink blood smear on the day my period was due which I assumed was the implant bleeding.

No more blood since this morning but keeping and eye. Faint test not giving me much hope!

Oh bless you. I remember doing a post like this in February... pink on tissue, then spoke too soon and was bleeding heavy 20 minutes later.
Make sure you get referred to a recurrent miscarriage specialist... I'm on 5mg folic acid, had a bit of an underactive thyroid (which can effect pregnancy) so on levothyroxine, and also progesterone pesseries....
I had 4 chemical pregnancies/ miscarriages since July 2021 and now I'm 11 weeks and going well.
Fingers crossed for you x

I've been through the same. All I can say is breathe, take each moment as it comes, and it's likely it will take the course similar to a very heavy period know that it's normal if you feel upset during this time. Hot water bottle helped with the cramps..I was absolutely heartbroken at loosing my 5 week chemical pregnancy, but know there is always light at the end of the tunnel, ALWAYS. Sending you love, hugs and light

Could be either. I have had this go both ways. It’s a bit early for a scan but by about 7 weeks they’ll be able to check. I had three early miscarriages between DS and DD that started this way and never really came to anything more - no real pain, no huge bleed. Scans showed empty womb. Then I had a similar bleed at 7 weeks and went for a scan with no hope. There will a little flickering heartbeat who is now a robust six month old DD asleep in my arms. It’s so hard and I would guard your heart either way, but don’t give up hope. Worth talking to your MW. She won’t be able to do anything at this stage but she could book you in for a scan for a couple of weeks time.

Last year in October I got pregnant and I was 4 weeks and 5 days when I had a chemical. For whatever reason I am pregnant now and 4 weeks and 3 days. And I am freaking out by the coincidence. Period were both 10th of October. I am scared it will happen again. I can't sleep and can't stop thinking about it 😪 anyone dealt with something similar?
