Currently 31wks. I've always slept mostly on my back, so adjusting to sleeping on my side has been weird, but not a problem until the last couple of weeks. I am now waking up every day (and usually at least once in the night) with a banging behind the eye headache which refuses to go away for hours, even with paracetamol. It seems to be caused by the pressure of sleeping on one side, it's not dehydration, or likely anything more serious. (Spoken to triage midwife, that was her take too.) I've changed pillows and tried different configurations to try and alleviate it but nothing seems to be working.
I guess the question is, anyone have any ideas / tips for a better side sleeping position, mainly with regards to pillow set up? Last night I ended up with a pillow under my butt so I was kinda sleeping at a 45 degree angle which may have helped a little, but I'm unsure exactly how far over "on your side" you're recommended to be lol!
