Brown discharge at 4 weeks

Hope you can help
I'm roughly 4 weeks pregnant and this morning I've noticed some very light brown discharge in my underwear, only the smallest amount and then I went to the loo and it was quite cloudy brown and very light brown when I wiped. Again not too much but I'm starting to worry a bit - Google isn't much help says it can be some times be normal some times it can't. Any ideas? 😔

I had it with my second, it’s fairly common. You can get in touch with your EPU and see what they say but they won’t be able to scan you yet, there won’t be anything to see. They might check your HGC levels. They might just advice to wait and see I FB it stops. But if it’s just brown discharge, no red blood and no severe cramps it’s unlikely to be anything to worry about.

@TailSpinner thank you so much! Just went for a wee there and It seems to have stopped for now and no cramps so will keep an eye on it x

In my current pregnancy I had brown and sometimes pinkish spotting weeks 4 and 5 and light brown bleeding week 7. Freaked out. 11 weeks now and LO is doing well. Scans never found the reason for bleeding - most probably implantation blood taking its time to come out. I had an early MC before though that started brown and turned red quickly and understand the anxiety well. No red bleeding/pain is good news. Fingers crossed for you x

Thank you @stardust00 it's crazy isn't it you spend months and months feel anxious ttc then that anxiety continues into pregnancy, when will I feel relaxed again!!? 🤣 I've had no pain at all, I get the odd random feeling similar to period pains that last a few second every now and then but that's it. I've read that it's fairly normal at this stage x

I know @NiceToChat88, it's such a rollercoaster😣I'm just starting to relax a little more now but gosh it's been hard. Glad it stopped for you now and no pain! I've had random twinges and dull period-like sensations since week 4 too, think it's very normal x
