Hello everyone

i’m 5 weeks pregnant and had my bloods checked on Tuesday. They were 300. I then had them done again 48 hours later and they were 350. The nurse said they would expect them to have doubled and the rise is very small so is not good news and told me to prepare myself for the worst. I’m going to be getting them done again Tuesday.

I’m 41, have fertility issues due to endometriosis and PCOS, this is my first pregnancy and I conceived with the help of letrezole.

Does a low rise always mean a healthy pregnancy isn’t possible? Has anyone experienced this and gone on to give birth?

morning!
ive always been told that a viable pregnancy needs HCG levels to have (at least) almost doubled in approx 48 hours until you reach 6-8 weeks where levels are so high that the rate of increase starts to tail off (I have a history of ectopics so have my HCG levels checked whenever I become pregnant). I don’t have any experience of a slow rise and a successful pregnancy unfortunately but that’s not to say others haven’t. Wishing you all the best; the waiting is always so difficult x

Thank you @puddleduckle Yes, the waiting is very hard. I’m sorry to hear about your ectopics. Xx
