Does my bump look like it's got any bigger ?
The first pic is nearly 27 weeks and the second is today at 30+4
Getting paranoid it's not grown much if at all

I think it's grown quite a lot plus you were pretty big for 27 weeks!

Hopeandlove · 05/08/2022 08:12

Yes it’s has grown and if it helps you were bigger than me at 39 weeks - my bump was half that size and I had a 7 pounder!

ShirleyPhallus · 05/08/2022 08:15

Are you joking, it’s grown loads! Lovely bump!

also it totally depends on position of the baby, my bumps would change size / shape a lot depending on which way she was facing

jacksmannequin · 05/08/2022 08:21

I just can't help but worry, I do have anxiety and am on medication for it but for some reason I've had a bit of a fixation over bump size! Maybe you just can't see it yourself ?
I do have gestational diabetes too and the last week I've really cut down on eating crap obviously, maybe I'm not as bloated too

I'd say this is your anxiety! This is my bump at 33 weeks 🤔🤣

Russell19 · 05/08/2022 08:29

It is grown and its bigger than I was full term!

wibblewobbleball · 05/08/2022 08:32

All bumps are different so no point comparing to others. It has definitely grown Smile Good luck with your rest of your pregnancy and delivery!

jacksmannequin · 05/08/2022 08:43

We are on about the same thing, the second pic being the most recent one aren't we ? Why can't I see it 😩

You've grown loads, the pale top is the later pic yes?
I looked like your first picture 4 days before I gave birth at 38 weeks, still had a 7lber!

Yes pale top is most recent.
Thanks for the reassurance, I feel silly sometimes but it's that nagging voice in the back of my head being negative all the time

You’ve grown loads and your bump is really big! Try not to worry!

Paprikapommes · 05/08/2022 09:46

You look quite obviously and visibly bigger. Have you spoken to your midwife about your anxiety and how it's increasing atm? They should also be measuring you, does your growth chart not spell it out for you?

You've had multiple people reassure you on this thread and it doesn't seem to be helping. You have enough stress on your body and mind already without the added anxiety, do you think you could do with asking for some extra help? It can't be good carrying around this level of worry every day

jacksmannequin · 05/08/2022 09:52

@Paprikapommes have been measured twice but by different midwives so it doesn't give much confidence really ! I am due an appointment today where I should be measured but I do plan on telling them that my anxiety is increasing and what I'm worrying about.
I was put on sertraline and felt loads better but starting to feel worse again, also intrusive thoughts have crept back in the last couple of weeks !

Why doesn't a trained medical professional give you much confidence? Is it because they measure differently? If so, request to book in with the same one each time. Ask them to measure twice. Whatever you need.

Great that you have a MW appointment, definitely share this issue and ask for help. Is this the main focus of your anxiety atm?

Exactly that, measurements can really vary.

I was told I'd have the same midwife due to my anxiety but I haven't as of yet.

And yeah the bump issue has been the main focus really, but as I said I felt better and it's like I've levelled off and feeling worse again. Maybe I need a higher dosage?

I've stopped panicking now, midwife was lovely and measured my bump at 31 weeks, 2 weeks ago it measured 29 so it's on track.
She said I've got a big bump for where I am and not to worry and don't listen to peoples comments about my bump! I've had so much "wow you're carrying low" and obviously people don't mean any harm but when you've got anxiety it makes you wonder doesn't it !!

Anyway thank you so much everyone for reassuring me, I know I must sound so irrational
