Hello everyone I wonder if anyone’s can help, am feeling so frustrated and worried I keep getting really sharp pains in my vagina, nothing on google says that you should get these at 6 weeks all a lot later on and i can’t seem to get through to see a dr or my midwife, has anyone else had this at all?? :( thank you so much x

Sounds like lightning crotch - very common and harmless. How far along are you?

I’m only 6 weeks :/ I read about lightening crotch but that seems later on xx

Fanny dangers!!! Very common!! Are you on a mumsnet chat with others due around the same time as you? That’s where I found out we were all having Fanny daggers

It's normal, I had this too. Not pleasant!

gonewithtthewind · 05/08/2022 09:16

I've had this from 6 weeks to where I am now (12 weeks 3 days) and I still get it! It's awful but I don't think it's anything to worry about. Just annoying more than anything 😩😩

I feel so much better knowing you girls had this around the age time as I am! I had heard of lightening crotch later on but nothing at 6 weeks and non of my friends had it so I started to feel abnormal haha I’m fine with the pain as long I know it’s normal :) I laid awake so long last night worrying!

xx

I also had it early on and was worried, I think it's normal since I did see it's meant to happen later on in the pregnancy but I'm currently 13 weeks and still getting it! So it's definitely normal nothing to worry about! Congrats and good luck in your pregnancy x

I had this at weeks 4-5. I found it was worse after I exercised but I rested more and found they went away (they could have also disappeared by chance at that time). It was so unnerving when they happened though! I think it's completely normal

Hi I was just wondering if anyone had experienced shooting pains in their vagina in early pregnancy? (I’m 6 weeks)

Mum2bein24 · 29/07/2023 20:31

I am 6 weeks and sat here now having these shooting pains I am so glad I've seen this thread.
I was so scared something was wrong with the baby.
