Heroin addicts have heathy babies. I think you'll be okay. I took it in weeks one and two but I guess baby isn't taking from mum yet at that stage

I would say though that when I told my midwife she said it's much more common than you'd think. Lots of people are out partying when they don't know they're pregnant

@Bambolina89 only a professional can advise you properly. Lot of women do things in early pregnancy that they wouldn't have done if they knew. Try not to worry until talking to the midwife. If you aren't prone to anxiety spiraling then do a Google search for proper research papers on the subject.

Don't worry, baby will fine, don't panic if it's a one off. The risk is absolutely minimal. Stressing out about it for the next seven months could potentially cause more harm. Eat some brocolli and give yourself a break. Good luck!

I have already spoken to teratologists and they reassured me that a single exposure cannot cause harm, but I would have liked to hear similar experiences from other girls. The comments of girls who misjudge are really out of place, I'm a worried woman not a monster

Honestly you will be fine! One off exposure isn't going to do anything. There are plenty of people repeatedly drink alcohol and take drugs who go on to have healthy babies.

I wouldn’t tell your midwife. It happened to a few of my friends when we had babies in our early 20’s. All the kids are thriving now. Hope everything goes ok for you x

If it was a one off and not habitual use, I don't think I would tell my midwife. Unless you ask that it not go on your medical records (can you do that?).
