i have no one else that i would be able to talk about this in real life as too embarrassing. I am 34, and DH is 41. I noticed him sometimes getting soft when DTD when he was about 37, but attributed it to stress at work. We decided to TTC our first this year (DH now 41) but he struggled to erm.. go hard, or couldn't finish. I was worried about TTC, and even researched about the 'turkey baster method' at the time. DH went to gp for blood work which showed low testosterone, but had to wait for few months for second blood test to compare results. Anyway, miraculously one evening it happened to work fine, and we ended up conceiving that cycle. Since then however, he cannot get it up at all either with me, or solo so not even 'turkey baster method' would work for future.
I am thankful we managed to conceive, but due to our ages was planning having two close together but how if he has zero sex drive, and cannot get it up even if he tries. He will be a bit older by the time we TTC number two.
I guess the GP will put him on some medication for low testosterone, but i think i read somewhere that affects male fertility? Has anyone been through anything similar, and does testosterone treatment mean that baby number two is off the cards :-( ?
