Experiences of reduced growth continuing

Morning people 👋

Can I please get peoples experiences with babys growth on scans once it starts dropping? Baby has dropped about 3-4 percentiles over last 3 scans on growth, so even though they are gaining its very slow.....

In people's experiences once baby started dropping did it continue? Or did baby ever have a good growth spurt?

I have my scan Tuesday and I'm dreading it because if baby drops again then we will be having early delivery around 35-36 weeks (currently 34 weeks), if not then we will be delivered at 37 weeks.

One midwife mentioned once they start a downward trend it tends to continue but wanted to know of others experiences with it please :)

What is the current centile though?

My daughter was on the 30th centile and she's dropped to the 8th, I have another scan on Tuesday at 33 weeks.

My other daughter was born on the 2nd centile so I'm expecting a similar situation.

Current centile is 10th but baby has dropped from over 50th so the doctors seem fairly concerned about the continued drop- my son was born on 2nd percentile so its not the actual percentile that's worrying me, it's more the drop and the potential early delivery

Hey hun I had growth scans every 2 weeks and checks on my placenta every 2 weeks aswell because my baby was dropping centiles. They induced me early 39 weeks because they said it was a risk and I'd be lucky if she was 5lb. She was born 39+2 at a healthy 7lb 2! The scans can be inaccurate xxx

My DS is 1 now but we had growth issues in pregnancy.

He started on the 50th, and gradually went down to the 4th by 36 weeks. They couldn't find a reason for it and his legs were considered "small". I was having a c-section anyway so they delivered at 38+3.

When he was actually born he was on the 9th.

He has always been small, now goes between the 20th and 25th percentile but is absolutely perfect. Hitting his developmental milestones and is a right little character!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy
