AF was due on the 27th but hadn't showed up yet. I got a positive CB digital on the 25th and then they've been negative since the 26th... today is 17 dpo... these are all FMU. Is it definitely a Chemical?

They look all the same to me so hard to really tell. It could go either way. You're still really early.

I do t understand? Those tests after the 25th are all positive

Salpforyou · 29/07/2022 17:51

@LilacPoppy the digital ones were negative since the 26th.. but the one on the 25th was positive

@Rtmhwales that's why I was so worried coz aren't they supposed to get darker?

There’ll be a bunch of people who say “a positive test is a positive one!” but I’ve been in your position and think it’s reasonable to manage your expectations on this one. You’d want to see the lines getting darker over this period and the fact that they aren’t isn’t a great sign of the viability of this one.

@dreamersdown thank you for your honesty x

I’m so sorry, it’s almost worse getting the positive that doesn’t develop/ goes away. I really hope for you that isn’t the case, but if it is, my fertility doctor was very clear that this is a) a good sign that you can implant and b) this just means it’s an embryo that had some issues and would never have developed anyway.

@dreamersdown thank you so much for sharing that information with me. It's a little less painful looking at it from that perspective. I really appreciate you taking the time to type that up ❤️

I'm sorry to say but this is what my tests looked like when I had a chemical, they just never progressed beyond a faint line 😔

DappledOliveGroves · 29/07/2022 19:19

Sorry, OP, but it doesn't look very hopeful. I've attached a photo of my line profession from my pregnancy with DD2 and it was markedly darker each day. Hope you're ok Flowers

Hope you're OK OP. My chemical was very similar although my lines started off quite dark then faded

Salpforyou · 30/07/2022 15:23

Yea I started bleeding today with cramps. It's okay. We will try again and hope for a rainbow 🌈

PS: the journey to motherhood is so emotionally tasking. Why did no one ever prepare us for this part 😭

So sorry OP I had a chemical last year and it was so confusing. I had a scan as I wasn't sure on dates (I'd been breastfeeding so no periods) and they found nothing. They ran bloods to measure hcg progression and I couldnt understand what was going on as I'd SEEN the positive. As I left the hospital after the first blood test I bought another test thinking I'd prove I'd not lost my mind and that one, sadly, was completely negative. The second blood test result a few days later confirmed that it was all over. It was really hard to take in so please take time to go through emotions, be kind to yourself. A few months later for me and we got another positive which stuck. I am now 32 weeks pregnant. I really, really hope you get your sticky result soon. Goodluck OP xxxxx

I'm so sorry OP. TTC really is a rollercoaster of emotions. After my chemical and 2 years of trying, I was able to get pregnant straight after (we were doing IVF rounds) and apparently it is quite common to fall pregnant after a chemical pregnancy. Keep strong x

Thank you everyone for the kinds words x
