I know there’s no way to know until I get to 16/20 weeks, but with my son I was very nauseous until 16 weeks and this time, I was sick like that from 7-9 weeks and now it’s just gone and I feel fine.

Has anyone Had a girl and felt ok from 9/10 weeks?

I had no sickness through either of my pregnancies and I have two daughters. Sickness doesn't mean a thing.

Dalint · 29/07/2022 13:49

I had no sickness and have 2 girls. No sickness at all. Folic acid makes me sick though and I'm not pregnant now. I've often wondered whether there's a link? It's so important to take the folic acid though. If you can't keep them down however, what do you do?

InvincibleInvisibility · 29/07/2022 13:51

Agree it doesn't mean anything. I was sick from 5 weeks to giving birth with both my DC - both boys

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 29/07/2022 13:51

Doesn’t mean a thing

Hollyhocksarenotmessy · 29/07/2022 13:51

Didn't get any sickness and I had a boy.

There's no link.

I have 3 boys and vomited multiple times a day until at least 20 weeks with each of them. I wish boys meant no sickness!

Grazka · 29/07/2022 13:56

Didn't get any sickness the entire pregnancy, I had a girl

Baconking · 29/07/2022 14:01

I had no sickness in either pregnancy and have 1 of each

Whiskeypowers · 29/07/2022 14:03

DS1 awful sickness from the start until 14 weeks started again about 20 weeks until the birth
DD felt hungover and sick all the way through but didn’t vomit at all
DS2 some sickness more confined to the evening and late afternoon nowhere near as bad as his big brother

so no I wouldn’t rely on any theories!

AYearOfCushions · 29/07/2022 14:04

Ha! No.
3 boys here and horrific morning sickness with all of them.

tealandteal · 29/07/2022 14:07

With DS1 I had no sickness at all. With DS2 I was sick every day until 7 months so no correlation I’m afraid.

BiscoffSundae · 29/07/2022 14:08

I’ve never had morning sickness (been lucky!) 4 kids 2 girls 2 boys so no

NeverHadANickname · 29/07/2022 14:08

I wish! I had a boy 🤢

MamaWingsIt · 29/07/2022 14:09

I was sick both times up until 14/15 weeks, nausea was horrendous. One of each gender! I definitely don't believe the old wives tales!

Merryclaire · 29/07/2022 14:10

I had no sickness so thought boy, but it’s a girl

FrownedUpon · 29/07/2022 14:12

Do people really believe these things. No it doesn’t mean anything!

WindsblowingfromtheWest · 29/07/2022 14:14

I have two girls. One I was horrendously unwell with nausea etc and the second I have nothing.

With DD my sickness tailed off around 12 weeks.

I'm 15 weeks with DS now, and currently immobile in bed as I feel so rotten.

jmscp · 29/07/2022 14:24

My 4 year old DD would suggest not Grin

bbqhulahoop · 29/07/2022 14:24

LolaJ87 · 29/07/2022 14:58

Loads of nausea and sickness through my first trimester and I'm having a boy!

Ebonyhorse · 29/07/2022 14:59

Ffs. Of course it doesn’t. Clutching at straws 😂

annlee3817 · 29/07/2022 15:19

First pregnancy, no sickness and no symptoms really

Current pregnancy, awful nausea up until fourteen weeks

Both girls

Squiff70 · 29/07/2022 16:49

Ha, no! I'm 36 weeks pregnant and was as sick as a dog until well into the 2nd trimester. I still AM sick occasionally! And yep, it's a boy!
