Hello girls,

I had my 16 weeks scan today and my Maximal Vertival Pocket (MVP) measured 3.25 cm. The radiologist scared me saying that my fluid level is low and I might have oligohydramnios.
However, when I googled Maximal Vertical Pocket the normal values were between 2-8 cm. Can somone here shed light on MVP values? Also, is single deepest pocket the same as MVP?

I have it too. at the end of pregnancy right now though but I’ve been getting weekly measurements since 32 weeks. After some iv drips a month ago we got the level to 7cm which was good. Normal at the end of pregnancy is around 15-20cm. I’m not sure what it should be earlier at your stage as I think it’s made up of baby pee? So maybe wouldn’t be as much then. At 32 weeks they said under 5cm is bad. I’m 3.9cm at 35 weeks and the dr today said it’s ok and they consider true oligohydraminos “bad levels” to be under 2cm so not to panic. Your dr would know best though what’s a good level at your gestation, but hope that helps
