Negative test at 12DPO, is there still hope?

Hi,

Just looking for a bit of advice / to see if anyone has been in a similar position before. We are currently TTC after a miscarriage a couple of months ago, I think I ovulated around 2 weeks ago although I’ve stopped temping so am just placing this estimation around when I got a static smiley face on the clear blue OPKs. I took a frer on Tuesday which would have been around 12DPO which was negative. I was due on yesterday and in the evening had a very very small of pink blood but nothing since, literally a few drops. I’m wondering could this have been implantation bleeding? But would a frer still have shown I was pregnant before that? Basically just wondering if there is any hope this cycle and don’t want to drive myself crazy so wondered if anyone else had had anything similar?

Thank you!

HCG levels don't rise until implantation so if that was implantation, to the best of my knowledge, a test wouldn't pick it up as there'd be no heightened HCG. When is your period due?

That makes sense! I just wondered if even a frer wouldn’t pick it up until implantation as well as they say they can pick up hcg 6 days before your period is due. I was due on yesterday, had the very very light bleeding yesterday evening and then nothing since 🤷🏻‍♀️
