just wondering if anyone else has experienced pain in their c section scar very early on in pregnancy? It’s been 18 months since my daughter was born by emergency c section and I’m now probably about 6 weeks pregnant and for the last couple of days I’ve been having quite a lot of discomfort where my c section scar is. Just wondering if this is normal or if I should possibly give my gp a call. Thankyou x

Congratulations on the pregnancy, could it be around the time the placenta is starting to form maybe as it could be near to your scar tissue? I’m planning to try for our second when my little one is 18 months in a few months. Hopefully the pain disappears on its own

I would really love to know more about this. I had my first baby a couple of weeks ago which was an emergency c section. I am worried about a future pregnancy and possible implications from having a c section this time.
Apparently it's advised to wait 12 months so it's interesting you're experiencing pain when it's been 18 months. Hopefully more people will come on with experience of this!
Hope you're not in pain too long. And congratulations on your pregnancy! 🌸

My first was an emergency c section. My little boy was 2 this month and I'm now 11 weeks pregnant again. I can't say I've had pain as such. I have noticed that the pouch is slightly bigger than before. Most likely where my uterus is and the growing etc.

If you're getting pain from it I would definitely speak to a midwife or GP just to be sure. I guess some mild discomfort every now and then is normal (I sometimes feel like my scar is itchy inside if that makes sense) but I don't think you should be experiencing pain?

thankyou! Ah this makes sense as the pain is on the inside and feels quite hard there so must just be everything moving around!x

Congratulations on having your baby! I think it’s possibly because I must just have a lot of scar tissue as it’s always been quite lumpy when I’ve pressed on it and everything must be moving around or things are just starting to happen x

Thankyou! I do experience pain in it when it’s the time of the month aswell so I’m just wondering if I just have lots of scar tissue but probably will just ring gp to double check. Congratulations on your pregnancy x
