Currently 10 weeks, and so sick and tired and miserable! Haven't eaten a proper meal since 5 weeks, and the list of foods that don't make me vomit is rapidly diminishing. Lucky to be working from home, but have a toddler to contend with, and I'm exhausted in my bones!
Thanks for listening to my moan. Would anyone like to join the pity party?

Aw bless you. I am not currently pregnant but I recall the crushing fatigue well, and I was only permanently nauseous, not even vomiting like you. So very much pity and hugs for you. Are there many opportunities for you to get childcare?

Kathryn91 · 27/07/2022 17:37

@Thetractorjustmoved
me please!! I am nearly 11 weeks pregnant also contending with a toddler and I could sleep all day!
On holiday atm and spent all day in bed yesterday sleeping on and off while my partner and mum took turns in entertaining him!
Some days i feel fine others wiped out!

Thetractorjustmoved · 27/07/2022 18:50

Phew I'm glad it's not just me! Feel like the world's worst mother at the moment, hardly seeing my little boy as I keep shipping him off to my mum's or with his dad so I can vomit in peace. Keep telling myself this will be over in a few weeks but it feels never ending!

9 1/2 weeks and I feel absolutely exhausted! No other children so I know I’m lucky and can actually rest around work but woaaah, it’s a lot! Meant to be going to a work party tomorrow night but I think just getting myself ready to go out after working 8 hours will absolutely knacker me 😂

2020firsttimemum · 27/07/2022 21:38

11 weeks also with a toddler and I too am EXHAUSTED (I swear the first wasn't this bad?!?!)
Thankfully after a weekend of sickness, mine seems to have calmed down a bit now.
We're all in this together ladies, hopefully after T1 we'll all feel a little more energised

Thetractorjustmoved · 28/07/2022 16:49

How's everyone doing today? I managed to get a lunchtime nap (WFH) which was a bonus, and only puked twice so far! What a day!

Just got back a theme park, knackered! Haven’t walked so much in the last 12 weeks!
im aiming for cheesecake and bed very soon!

stardust00 · 28/07/2022 18:17

I'm with you. 9.5 weeks, been living like a zombie since week 4 but it's really ramped up now. I've never felt so lazy in my life, having to lie down after getting up the stairs😅I'm eating much less before with nausea but not actually got into a better shape because I just don't move. Weeks 4-6 I was still exercising and thinking I've got it, I'm strong and sporty and all that. Ha ha ha ha

Sanner · 29/07/2022 19:28

Hi other first trimesters !! I’m at 8 weeks first pregnancy, constant nausea which seems only to be kept at bay for about an hour by eating absolute shite like McDonald’s around the clock, also spent my entire day at work staring at my desk willing my eyes not to close, but can’t tell coworkers yet why I’m channelling a sunbathing walrus ... solidarity my girls

ChagSameachDoreen · 29/07/2022 19:32

Oh it's dreadful isn't it. I'm just coming out on the other side, and it is much better now - 14 weeks.

Around week 9-11 I could only stomach McDonalds egg and cheese McMuffins, plain pasta, and white toast, and even then I had to force myself.

Drinking a LOT of water really helped, as did those little anti-nausea bracelet jobbies.

Sanner · 29/07/2022 23:59

Oh god that gives me hope, in a way I wish I had one of those difficult eating first trimesters coz that’s all I can do to not feel sick constantly and I’m already 5lbs up !

are you managing to branch out from white foods now the sickness has calmed down ?

Rosesandteacups · 30/07/2022 09:35

This is the thread for me! Currently 11+6 and I’ve spent the past 6 weeks eating like it’s going out of fashion. This is my second pregnancy and I’ve been nauseous the whole time but eating is the only thing that’s helped. I’ve eaten so many white carbs it’s not helping my weight which was already higher than my first pregnancy. I must say that the last week I do have more energy though so hopefully things are looking up

DangerouslyBored · 30/07/2022 10:18

The first trimester was just hell. I had IVF so baby very much wanted but I don’t know if I would have gone through with it had I know what was ahead. Also lucky enough to have WFH throughout but did have a few meetings where I’d be talking and reaching at the same time. And running out of meetings to be sick. This is my first and my last, I will never go through that again 😬

Currently 27+2 and all that is behind me. Other than my bump and breathlessness, I feel good. No heartburn or indigestion 🤞🏼 The crushing nausea disappeared at 14 weeks. Hoping yours does one soon!

Jack2507 · 30/07/2022 10:31

Finally found people who feel as awful as me! My friends and colleagues who are also pregnant have been going out as normal, going to weddings, going on holiday etc. And I'm thinking how?!?! I can hardly move off the sofa! I'm just coming out the other side at 12+5, I had two breakfasts yesterday which was unthinkable a few weeks ago. I still feel grim and napping every day but can at least function now.

Yes - I'm enjoying (and craving) healthier stuff now! Eating much more fruit and veg.

Oh I know, all of my friends were just like 'feeling a bit tired' but essentially carrying on with life as normal. For both my pregnancies I've felt absolutely wretched like I've got some sort of terrible illness, and can barely move from the sofa (only to puke mainly). My 3 yo can barely remember what I look like.
Just can't wait to start feeling better! Hopefully should only have 4 weeks or so before it shifts. Sending solidarity to everyone suffering!

Hi friends *waves!
Just over 7 weeks here and feeling like shite! 17 month dd is absolutely non stop and I feel like a crap mum, and DH is being much less sympathetic than last time!
Feel constantly queasy unless snacking on unhealthy beige stuff, have eaten nearly 3 tubes of bbq pringles in as many days 😳
Also think the spd might somehow be starting already, it was about 11 weeks last time!

Sanner · 30/07/2022 22:11

@Dodolovesme this is exactly me, pure and constant and urgent nausea unless I’m eating like, breaded calamari or cheesy chips or cheese sandwiches or chicken nuggets. The beiger the better but their effects wear off after about an hour and the sickness is back!
I was at a baby shower today and still haven’t announced since I’m only 8 weeks and high risk, it was god awful sat by smokers and the smell of cocktails and beer trying to forget all I wanted to do was curl up and vomit 😅 here’s hoping for the sweet relief of second trimester that everyone keeps telling me about ...

Jericha · 30/07/2022 22:31

Oh hi friends! I'm 8 weeks, napping constantly, burping all of the time, bloated, boobs feel like 10 tonne boulders and feel sick 95% of the time. No energy to do anything remotely useful and keep waking up in the middle of the night. Yuck!

TeddyBeans · 30/07/2022 22:36

I'm very pleased it's summer holiday (I work term time only) and DS is at his dad's this weekend. DP stayed in the living room while I spent the whole afternoon in bed asleep 🤣 the fatigue and nausea has been a killer this time round. Luckily DS is 4 and can entertain himself for a little while while I steal a doze on the sofa most afternoons!

9+4 and definitely looking forward to the first trimester being over!

WonderWoop · 30/07/2022 22:40

Oh wow thank god I've read this. I'm 10w, exhausted, with a 2.5yr old, eating absolute rubbish and look more pregnant now than I did at the end of my first pregnancy. Is it possible to lose weight in the second trimester?? Can't keep going like this for another 30 weeks. Pray there's light at the end of the tunnel...

OctopusBreath · 30/07/2022 22:45

I sympathise! I'm somewhere around the 12 week mark and I have felt like absolute shite since week 5ish. Bouts of horrible sickness, but hopefully the tablets I'm now on will settle that. The tiredness is unbelievable.
I had very bad hyperemesis with my first pg, and felt fabulous with the second. But those babies are now teens and I'm so much older! I wonder how much of this tiredness is down to my age.

Have you all told people you're expecting? I haven't- This is an unexpected (but very welcome) pregnancy and DP and I wanted to settle into the idea first. But I think people are beginning to worry now because I've lost loads of weight and have had to pull out of various work/social events because of sickness. I had a scan last week and everything looked fine, but for some reason haven't told anyone still.

Thetractorjustmoved · 31/07/2022 18:46

I've told close family and friends and even work already, it's risky as I'm only 10 weeks, but I had very poor mental health in my first preg and just really need all the support/understanding this time round! It's actually helped me, it really stressed me out having to keep going in the first pregnancy because no one knew- at least this way I'm able to be off work if I'm sick etc.
It's a tough decision, but for me, it's worth being able to confide in people for this most hellish time!

Iv told some people, a few people guessed as I’m never really ‘poorly’ but Iv been really struggling.
and I swear I’m already showing!!
i had an early scan at 7 weeks which showed no problems so felt a little more at ease.
next scan is a week tomorrow. Fingers crossed all is ok

TeddyBeans · 31/07/2022 20:03

I've told a few people too. Didn't see any benefit to keeping it to myself last time so started telling people from about 5 weeks.

Just had a couple of sharp pains in my stomach. Has anyone else experienced this? 9+5 today
