hi,
Is dizziness a sign of early pregnancy? I have positive tests and now I'm starting to feel nauseous and having really bad spells of dizziness and it's worrying me!
thank you for any advice or help :))

Could be....you should get your blood pressure checked.

Lovetogarden2022 · 25/07/2022 19:32

Yes - i was horrendously dizzy and the room constantly felt like it was spinning. Horrendous. But yes, mention it to the midwife and they'll check your blood pressure

9 weeks and I've been getting dizzy when I get up too quickly / do certain exercises / overexert myself since week 4. Blood pressure normal but the body is just working extra hard. Just need to remember to take things slowly😅

okay will get my blood pressure checked...is it an urgent thing?

Could also be related to your iron levels. My early pregnancy dizzy spells stopped once I was prescribed iron tablets.

should I be taking vitamins? this is my first pregnancy and I'm really young and not sure what to do and the doctor wasn't much help

@lilly222 you need to take folic acid and vitamin D.
Dizziness can be a pregnancy symptom yes, I've been dizzy since week 4. Try and eat little and often if you can, and stay hydrated x

Flederjo · 25/07/2022 20:48

You should already have started folic acid and vit D as a minimum.

You need to do some research yourself on the NHS website (for example) about diet, supplements, appointments etc.

Take something like pregnacare

badg3r · 25/07/2022 20:50

Also blutsaft is good for iron. Dizziness is normal though, could be low blood pressure or iron deficiency or something else. Congratulations by the way!

lilly222 · 25/07/2022 21:14

ah I don't know if congratulations are in order...was a little unplanned and I'm terrified!!! I want this baby though
