Giving birth at St Thomas?

hi all!

Sorry to start another thread on the topic.. but looking for more recent answers!
I have chosen to give birth at St Thomas Hospital, however, a few days ago I decided to go online and I have been left feeling quite insecure about my choice. So far, I haven't had the worst experience, but also not the best. Is there anyone here, who has given birth recently, who can give me an insight on how did it go there? Positive or Negative.

I would really appreciate- it is so nerve wrecking!

Thank you all. x

I did but ten years ago so not much help on the quality of care now front, but - great views from the labour ward! Sure someone will be along shortly with more helpful advice however.

What other hospitals could you go to? I think you'll hear good and bad stories. I can't rate St George's highly enough but I know someone else who nearly died there.

Actually my sis didn't have a great experience at St Thomas' as they didn't believe her when she said she in labour and she was actually crowning and tore badly as a resuly. But some of my friends can't rate it highly enough.

I've had a midwife from another london hospital tell me that St Thomas is good. Someone in my pregnancy yoga group had their baby there and had a good experience. I am not sure how much that helps though!
