Double pram

Does anyone have any recommendations for a double pram that would hold a 15kg 14 month old and a newborn? I currently have a Venicci Starlight and a Silver Cross stroller both used for toddler but I would like to invest in a double pram. I was told not to expect a small baby again at my anatomy scan so I won't want to have baby in a sling for long! Most prams I'm looking at have a maximum weight capacity of 15kg which my daughter will be 16 months when baby is born so she'll be over 15kg by then I'm assuming.

Are you sure your 14mo is 15kg? That's almost 2.5 stone and my kid weighed that at 3. I know kids come in a range of sizes but your DD must be huge! Most prams have around 15kg as the limit expecting around 3 for kids to grow out of them.

Yes😅She's honestly not even "chunky", she's just ridiculously tall for her age, she was the same height as my friends 2 year old before she was 1! Her dad is 6'5 & I'm 5'7 so I blame him 💁She was weighed at her 11 month check up and that's when I was told she's 15kg, they didn't seem concerned as it balances with her height and because they know her dad is tall!

Lots of people I know have used this, takes up to 22kg.

My son hit 18kg at 16 months! I feel you on finding products to hold their weight 😂

If you have Facebook, there's a group called Parents of Very Big Babies/Toddlers which is a great help in getting recommendations for products with a higher weight limit.

I have a toddler and a baby and have went through three double buggies recently. The best one has been a double Baby Jogger City Mini. That’s what my two twin mum friends have as well.

I think it goes up to 22kg, very quick to fold, is quite flat, takes terrain easily, can fit through most doors despite being side by side.

Avoid a tandem at all costs, they are so hard to push with the weight being one in front of the other.

I picked mine up on Facebook marketplace for £50.
