Hi all 👋

I am a bit of a fraud as i am not currently pregnant but currently ttc, we both tested positive last month with covid and I have rid some really mixed studies in regards to the impact of covid on the quality of sperm. I wanted really to post to throw it out there to see what the reality is from people who have either:

A) TTC after partner tested positive and didn't successfully conceive until after the 3 months

B) TTC successfully within 3 months after partner tested positive positive

C) Any other thoughts/opinions welcome!

I know the reality is no one would actually be able to tell me whether partners sperm has been affected without doing physical tests, but it made me wonder really what others experiences were. I also know I am super impatient and may just need to wait a few more months!

Thanks all and congratulations 🎊

Started TTC 2 months after having covid. Conceived after 5 months. I have PCOS though so we were thrilled with 5 months!

We both actually had covid when we conceived… I’m 33 weeks pregnant now! No issues.

We both had covid the month before we conceived. We didn't try the month we had it, as we felt absolutely horrendous.

Ahh congratulations, you must have been so relieved! My cousin has pcos and is worried about conceiving so that is hopeful 😊

We were both testing positive when we conceived 🙂 good luck!

Both had covid within 2 weeks prior to conceiving. 30 weeks now.

@Summerbreeze111

B. Conceived within 3 months after 15 months of trying.

We saw a urologist who said about covid effecting sperm.... potentially... but the research is very limited rn. And then we conceived even with a borderline total sperm count, within 3 months of us both having covid. He did also mention your reaction to covid and how badly you have it would make a difference. As it was earlier this year and we are both vaxxed, we didn't have it really badly.

Both had Covid first two weeks of May, conceived later that month.

Both had covid mid November, conceived early March after 18 months TTC

@MothersRuin267 @earlydays23 ahh that is really positive, we were actively trying when we both had covid (not feeling the freshest!) but unfortunately unsucessful, I did have an early miscarriage the month before though, so a few factors to play! Congratulations both :)

@FlyOnTheWall89 thank you, that is really interesting coming from a urologist, dp also had 3 vaccines prior, so he wasn't terrible, but still relatively unwell for approx 10 days. There are really mixed studies online, I guess with limited studies there isn't much to go off!

We tested positive for covid in Feb ( I was a lot more poorly than my husband) and we fell pregnant early April

PinkBump2022 · 26/07/2022 10:23

We both tested positive and had sex once and I’m pregnant from that once

Shameful bump for any more answers! 💕🧡
