just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar. I’m currently 38+2 but measuring big/further ahead for some time. For about 8 days I was getting strong braxton hicks every bed time for about 3 hours. At midwife appointment on Thursday she said oh these tightenings have been doing some work I can feel babies head and you’re easily 2cm dilated. She did a sweep to ‘get labour going’ and pretty quickly I started with period type cramps and over the next 2 mornings had my show (I lost my mucus plug 2 weeks ago but this has been bloody mucus in quite large lumps). I started up with regular contractions every 7-8 mins from 9pm Friday night through to about 5am and throughout yesterday would get them for about and hour and then they’d stop or get a random quite intense contraction. Now since about 10pm last night everything has completely stopped!
