Early Pregnancy and Brown Blood?

We found out we are pregnant yesterday at 11DPO, the same day I had some brown blood. I have had 3 previous miscarriages so I had progesterone to hand, I've been taking one in the AM and 1 in the PM, it has slowed the brown blood but I'm so worried.

When I've miscarried before it's always been red blood. I'm hoping there are some reassuring stories out there, has anyone had brown blood (more than just when you wipe but not enough to fill a pad) and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?? 🙏

Hi op, I had brown blood when I was about 5/6 weeks for about 5 days. Had early scan at 8 weeks and everything fine, waiting on my dating scan next week now.
I had a mc in March and the bleeding was very different, started off dark brown but much heavier, like the first day of my period and within an hour I knew I was losing the baby. If you're worried phone your epu and talk to someone, have you had investigations for your previous MC's?

Hiya, that's reassuring, do you mind me asking how much brown blood you had?

I know I shouldn't but I feel silly ringing EPU as I'm only 12DPO 😪

I've had so many tests done to check why we've miscarried and they've all ce back clear so doctors have put it down to 'bad luck' I feel like we are running out of time as I'm 35 years old

Hi I found at out at 12dpo also, I had some bleeding at 16dpo and went straight up to the early pregnancy unit as I had a miscarriage in February. They were lovely and really understanding I had some blood tests and 2 early scans at 6 and 8 weeks just to make sure everything was okay (I had a small haematoma but fortunately it was all fine), I’m 13 and a half weeks now. Even for your own peace of mind I think it’s worth ringing your EPU regardless of how early you are they’ll probably do the tests to measure if your HCG is rising.

hope everything is okay x

I've had some brown spotting at 4 weeks and then light brown blood bleeding at 7.5 weeks with dull cramping. It wasn't just spotting, def bleeding, but not a full pad. Thought that was that, went for a scan the following week to find out sooner rather than later and saw the little one with a strong heartbeat. I was told spotting/light bleeding is particularly common around the time your period would be due. I've had MCs and understand the anxiety though, fingers crossed for you x

Thank you all, I'm praying it's all OK, I will keep you posted x

I did a test this morning convinced the line would be fainter or wouldn't be there at all but it's stronger than yesterday! I can't believe it 🥲

I'm going to carry on with the progesterone and contact the doctors ASAP tomorrow for some blood tests xxx
