Anyone escaped from prison, er, I mean hospital before recommended time given by staff?

hate hospitals, hate staying in hospitals, dirty, smelly, yuk yuk yuk.

Just wanted to know, if anyone has walked out even when the staff want you to stay in?
Obviously I am not planning to do this if there are any real health problems with me and bubs, but if they are still reluctant for us to go when we both seem fine, I really do think we would get better care and support at home with dh and other family members anyway.
First time I instantly felt better the minute I was home with ds, knew I would be.

My midwife said to me today, " You have asked to be transfered to Bournemouth from Poole, it's a bit political but you need to make sure they don't just send you straight home."(!) Yeah, right!

I moaned and moaned until consultant relented

I had a slow hind water leak and went into hospital to be monitored. All doctors agreed I wasn't going into labour - except MY consultant She insisted I stay in hospital until baby was born (I was 30 wks!)and I must chase available SCBU cots around the country - in case baby came. In one week I was in 4 hospitals and 40 miles from home! On my last day I was told I was to go 250 miles away that evening as that was the nearest hospital with empty SCBU cot....I lost it. Turned out infection was my biggest risk......and where is the best place to catch one of those....? That afternoon she agreed the baby wasn't coming and hospital was the worst place to be....once she heard I'd asked to be discharged!!

Was monitored 3x a week at local hopital - got an infection at 34 weeks - baby born fine
