Increased movements

I'm 27 weeks today and have anterior placenta so most movements are softened.

I've had an influx of fetal movement on Friday night and it just makes me worried. Genuinely for a 2 hour plus period and there was so much movement. I've had a google and it just makes me scared.

I know I should phone the maternity ward just in case for advice but kinda stewing in my own anxiety about it at the moment.

It’s probably nothing but you should definitely call and get checked out anyway.

Don’t sit around stewing in anxiety as you’ll feel worse and worse.

Midwives are so used to doing monitoring - it’s really not a big deal for them if you go in. I’ve been in 4 times for reduced movements and they still keep saying to go in if worried.

They can consult a doctor or book you an urgent scan if they have concerns.

It’s almost always nothing, but you can’t take the risk. Getting concerning movements checked out saves babies’ lives.
