This is an ivf pregnancy.
How common is it to have a MMC after viability scan? I’m 11+4 and had my viability scan at 8+2 strong heartbeat and measuring fine. Haven’t seen baby since and have my 12 week scan on Monday (2days approx). I’ve had symptoms since my viability scan but they have decreased since about 10weeks. I’m so fearful of MMC. I’ve had cramping on and off as well, not like miscarriage cramps (2 previous losses) just wondering how common it is? I can’t help fear something has gone wrong. Haven’t seen my baby for almost 4 weeks.

(2 previous losses 1 at 8+5 and the other 4+3 not Mmc)

Great that you already saw a heartbeat.
The placenta can start to take over around 10 weeks for some so it's not uncommon for symptoms to fade.

This site says that after a healthy 8 week scan there's a less than 2% chance of miscarriage. After 10 weeks it's a less than 1% chance

Thank you for your comment. This reassures me a little. Just praying everything will be ok on Monday. I just thought I would feel more “pregnant” whatever that means.

I felt awful in early pregnancy and woke up at 10 weeks and get absolutely normal! I was so worried but all was absolutely fine!
think positive x

Gosh I hope you’re right and I’m so glad to hear all is/was well with you. Deep down I believe it’s ok but just worry and it’s terrible. I can do this. I’ve waited 4 weeks since seeing my baby last. I can do 2 days.

I also experienced symptoms drastically reducing at 10w and everything was fine so try not to worry. Easier said than done though - I experienced some degree of anxiety throughout my IVF pregnancy not helped by an incident of bleeding and cramps in the early weeks when I thought it was all over.

I’m glad to hear that everything was ok. I had spotting at my beta HCG check day but cleared up within 24 hours and nothing since. Everything has went so smoothly since I’m just waiting on it going wrong 🥺 always been on the wrong/bad side of the statistics never the good even though the good is the majority. Xx

With my 1st pregnancy I didn't feel pregnant. On my way to my 12 week scan I had to stop and do a pregnancy test as I didn't believe I was pregnant and I thought they were going to tell me there was nothing there. I really do wish you all the best for Monday

I’m sorry you felt the same but it’s nice to know that I’m not the only one who feels/felt like this. I’m sure everything will be fine. Just so terrified.

I had a MMC in my first pregnancy and symptoms also reduced around the same time as you, I found it terrifying. Is when the placenta starts taking over though and I believe reduction in symptoms is fairly common- currently 38 weeks and all going well. Hoping you get reassurance soon.

I hope you’re right and a lot of people have mentioned about the placenta taking over and hopefully that is the case. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Im experiencing similar worries. I also had scan at 8 weeks due to bleeding/cramping and all was fine.. My symptoms are on/off i only get symptoms once a week (vomitting 2-3times on that day)ever since i was 9 weeks (10 weeks +1 now) but ive read too that around 9/10 weeks placenta starts to take more control. Wishing u all the best for your scan x

Thank you for your comment. I hope so too and it is more likely to be ok than not ok but just have this fear that they’re gonna say they can’t find the heartbeat or baby has stopped growing “X” amount of days ago. It’s like ptsd 😭 I only have to wait until tomorrow x

I'm also experiencing this, had a scan at 9 weeks and everything was normal and looked good. Sickness stopped 2 days ago and I'm 12 weeks 2 days and have my scan on Tuesday. I'm worrying as my symptoms have faded the past 2 days. Guess the worrying never stops but we should think we've seen a heartbeat and that's a good sign :) congrats and wishing you a healthy pregnancy. Keep us updated on your scan on Monday!

Aww amazing @ttcbabykali
I also had strong HB at 8w but have had a difficult few weeks with spotting since so your list has given me hope for my scan on Saturday 😊
