15 weeks, all symptoms gone

15 weeks pregnant and I just don't feel pregnant at all. I've put on weight but I've been eating bread for weeks because it's the only thing I can stomach so it is hard to know if it's bloat from that or baby.

I just don't feel pregnant. I suffered extreme sickness until approx week 13. It's gone now. I feel absolutely fine and it is really frightening me.

Is this normal? I know symptoms can't last forever but surely I should feel something?

I have booked a scan for next week to reassure myself. I just feel so nervous.

Hopefully you're just past the first trimester symptoms and yet to pick up any aches and pains of later pregnancy. Try to enjoy this bit of pregnancy :)

Hopefully.

Really trying to stay positive and excited for the baby, but I can't help but feel frightened.

You've hit the second trimester amd are bang on target for symptoms getting a lot better. During my first pregnancy all my symptoms disappeared in the second trimester and I had a wonderful couple of months (before I got huge and started being sore and knackered again).

Hopefully you'll start to feel your baby moving in a few weeks if you haven't already which should ease your mind.

Yes my symptoms basically went around 15 weeks, I had a reassurance scan at around 17 weeks and then my NHS scan at 20 weeks and all was fine. Hope your scan next week goes well! I started feeling movements around 19 weeks too so you're not far off that as well.

Completely normal for symptoms to disappear as they should.

I'm 16+5 and have no symptoms. You wouldn't think I'm having twins.

I had sciatica since 6 weeks and it went last week (not complaining) and 16 week appt with midwife went well and I heard them both 🥰.

Thanks so much for all your reassurance! I want to enjoy this pregnancy, and I end up beating myself up for being so anxious! Its tough when it's something you have just never experienced before, so feel so clueless and helpless.

It's very reassuring to hear that a loss of symptoms at this stage can be normal. Not long to wait until my next scan anyway, so that'll hopefully put my mind at ease! I am hoping to also find out if it's a boy or a girl, if the clinic can pick it up, not that we care either way, but exciting to find out!

At your 16 week midwife appt they usually listen in with a Doppler x

@TearsWithoutWine i am in the same position as you but a week further on! i had terrible headaches, bloating, and all day sickness weeks 8-12 and then they disappeared at 13 completely. i was worried as well but had my 16 week midwives appointment today and, like @PinkButtercups said, they did the fetal doppler and that kiddo was kicking and moving and a strong heartbeat indicates they're doing just fine :)

wishing you a super happy pregnancy!!

TearsWithoutWine · 21/07/2022 21:59

@MrsUSAinUK thank you!! Delighted for you that all was well, I bet it felt really good to hear that heartbeat.

This thread has made me feel much better. Going to try and relax!
