Hi all, just wondering how important you think it is to do pelvic floor exercises after giving birth? I got given a leaflet about them by my midwife but I’ve lost it and I keep forgetting to follow up on it.

So so so important. Honestly. After first birth I kept forgetting. After second I had to get religious about it because I kept feeling like my insides were going to fall out and started to have little wee leaks.
if I could go back and do them religiously from pre first birth I reckon I’d be in a lot better shape!

Ps Nhs app Squeezy is great and you can set reminders

Definitely important to do. Your pelvic floor will have been put under a lot of strain through pregnancy so definitely good to do them and work them into your routine to help recovery. Easier said than done with a tiny baby I know!

They're a good thing for all women to do to be honest even those that haven't had children. There's this app called squeezy that the NHS recommends or you can look up online how to do them.
