Heavy lifting at work

Hi ladies,

Just looking for some advice, I am 4 weeks +1 day pregnant and work at Greggs. My job involves heavy lifting on an evening when the delivery arrives, large pallets of heavy frozen goods. Obviously I'm still early days so I don't want to tell work this early, but should I to be safe?

I'm 6 weeks and told my manager today due to heavy lifting and time off got appointments. She is going to speak to HR but no one else

You should tell them. You need a risk assessment

I would find the policy for pregnant workers from Gregg's and see what it says.

I told them due to risk assessment but also covid and if this gets worse again

Tell them and check the NHS website for a summary of your rights.
