Hi all, just wondered if anyone else had experience of terrible backache during pregnancy from quite early on? Mine kicked in at about 18 weeks - currently 25 - and it’s just really crushing me… hard to do my job, sleep, even watch the news. I feel bad complaining as otherwise the pregnancy is fine, but it’s really affecting my mental state… I can’t see how I’m going to do months and months more of this.
im doing pregnancy yoga, swimming, hot pads, got a pillow, everything they say to do!

Hi OP, I'm so sorry to hear you are struggling. No solution here I'm afraid.

I had this unfortunately from about 10 weeks. I couldn't walk for any longer than about 10 minutes at a time and it was really awful. Sitting wasn't so much a problem but I was unable to go on long walks or exercise, do house work. it was awful and I feel for you.

GP suggested physio but it didn't help. Nothing did. It went as soon as I gave birth though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ah sorry you went through this too, though relieved to hear it isn’t just me - I expected it at the end, but not quite this early!
glad to hear it went after birth… I’ve been starting to freak out I’d feel the same after AND have a baby to look after…

I was going to suggest yoga, but I see you're already doing that. My widwife suggested self referring to physio, so that's probably the next thing to try. Good luck x x x
