Fatigue at 20 weeks pregnant - normal?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and feeling absolutely exhausted... napping when i can which is very out of character and waking up in the morning feeling like i could go straight back to bed. I felt like this at the start of the first trimester but it passed and i've been feeling good for months until now. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal and did it pass?

I'm 26 weeks now and feeling exactly the same. 1st trimester I was exhausted, I had a few weeks from about week 12-18 where I felt much better and then went straight back to being tired again. I get up in the morning and could go straight back to bed.

I get a good 9 hours sleep plus nap on my lunch break. Currently on holiday and having a 2 hour nap every day and still tired . I am prone to anaemia but so far my bloods have been normal.

This is my second pregnancy and I was exactly the same the first time round but I've now got a toddler to run around after 😩

I would say I'm higher sleep needs to begin with, I've always been a napper and really need 10+ hours of sleep to be at my best.

It's really tough though!! It's not nice feeling constantly exhausted. Perhaps mention it to your midwife if you haven't already (it could be your iron levels) but I'm afraid in my case I've just learnt to sleep when I can as there doesn't seem to be anything wrong.

Thanks for your response and sorry to hear you're also struggling! Yes I was on iron tablets early on but when i last saw the midwife she said i didn't need them any more. Maybe my bloods have changed again since then, i will ask if i don't feel better soon. I'm still hoping this might pass on it's own!
