Clear Blue Not Progressing

KJHWW · 18/07/2022 06:14

Hi there

Any success stories out there following a clear blue not progressing from 1-2 weeks as it should? I’m currently 4+5 from LMP and still getting 1-2 with FMU.

Everything I’ve read similar to this has ended in in MC

Thank you

@KJHWW they are not overly accurate so I wouldn't panic at this stage. Try to avoid testing lots. Give it another try in a few days. Perhaps there was late implantation. X

CB weeks only measures from "conception", not from LMP. So it's probably just too early for the jump to 2-3 weeks. Everyone's HCG levels are different too, just search for "HCG levels by week" and you'll see how low normal levels can be.

I wouldn't rely on those tests anyway, several people report never getting 3+ despite being pregnant.

20viona · 18/07/2022 06:28

Stop testing! I know it's hard but ignore it. You're pregnant.

Schooldil3ma · 18/07/2022 06:45

Why on earth are you testing? You've had a positive. Just wait. You're going to make yourself ill if you carry on.

changingforthebetter3 · 18/07/2022 08:27

I used clearblue tests which showed 2-3 then about 3 days later it said 1-2.

I never used them again after that, all was fine with the pregnancy

Thank you all for taking the time to message - I know you are right and your advice is exactly the advice I would give someone else… own worst enemy sometimes! @20viona @FlyOnTheWall89 @Regenbogen22 @Schooldil3ma @changingforthebetter3

Hi, I didn't get my 2-3 until 5 weeks and 2 days, I'm now 6weeks 3 days and waiting for my 3+ xx

Cakecakecheese · 18/07/2022 19:07

Some people never get a 3+ and have successful pregnancies, they aren't always accurate.

KJHWW · 18/07/2022 19:43

Fingers crossed for you @Kt12344 Were you testing a lot before you reached 2-3?

I have driven myself crazy for a few days now. I have one more digital left which I will do with FMU tomorrow and then I won’t buy any more and just see what happens x

IME they've always been accurate and I often did them alongside blood tests too so for me and the way my body works they were very accurate. That being said for some women whose body metabolises hcg in urine differently they can be inaccurate x

Jaaxe · 18/07/2022 19:48

I crazy tested with these, must have spent about £50 on them early on because mine was taking ages to go from 2-3 to 3+ weeks so I also assumed bad news….it took nearly a week longer than “it should of” but changed to 3+ in the end….they aren’t mega accurate so don’t worry. I’m now nearly 17 weeks, 12 week scan went well and I actually measured a little ahead of what I thought x

Kt12344 · 18/07/2022 20:04

@KJHWW I tested the week before I got 1-2 and tested 2 days before I got 2-3 and it still said 1-2 that would have been at 5 weeks xx

KJHWW · 19/07/2022 07:37

@Jaaxe @Kt12344 thank you for your messages. I’m still 1-2 at 4+6 and feeling pretty deflated now. I think I’m going to try to stop testing and just keeping everything crossed x

Hi lovely.
I would try not to read too much into it as it can be either good or bad outcome regardless of if you test. Unfortunately for me, a previous pregnancy ended in a bad outcome when I was in this situation but this isn't always the case. It may just be that your HG levels are lower than average.
I personally would book an early private scan (calculated from the last day of your period, I think you can have them from 6-7 weeks). Get it booked and try to keep yourself busy until then.
Best of luck x

KJHWW · 19/07/2022 20:51

Hi all, just to update on outcome, I have started slight cramping and spotting this evening at 4+6 and so this one didn’t work out for me. Thank you all for taking the time to reply x

@KJHWW Sorry to hear that, if it's just spotting it could still be okay? Thinking of you❤️

KJHWW · 20/07/2022 05:01

@Kt12344 thank you for your message 💗 but I think the slight spotting and the 1-2 reading means this one will be MC xx

MoChridhe · 20/07/2022 06:04

Slight spotting doesn't always lead to MC. Go to the EPU and you'll be scanned. I had it too for my last pregnancy for 3 days but all was well.

Jaaxe · 20/07/2022 06:46

Aw hope you are ok but I also agree with pp I also had spotting and was scanned in epu all was fine. I’d get yourself seen so you know for sure x

KJHWW · 20/07/2022 10:09

@MoChridhe @Jaaxe thank you for your messages 💗 I have called EPU to be checked xx
