I’ll try not to ramble too much 😂
On 10/07/22 I started having thrush. Normally, I wouldn’t think anything too much of it - just one of those things - but I’ve only had it once before, which was when I was in the very early stages of pregnancy with my now 2 y/o son. I’d read at the time that thrush can be caused in early pregnancy due to the change in hormones. AF was due on 14/07/22 so I wondered if I could possibly be pregnant and in early stages (same as before)
I took a test the next day (early, I know) and it was negative
On 12/07/22 I started having really mild cramps in the evening, a lot milder than my usual AF cramps
On 13/07/22, there was light pink blood on the tissue when I wiped during my morning wee. I put a pad on but nothing went onto pad. I also took another test that was negative. More light pink blood when wiping in the evening
On 14/07/22 (AF due) I started off with light pink/brown on tissue when wiping and then it gradually turned into more of a pinky-red. Since then, I’ve continued to have the same so I assumed it’s AF. But I’m having some doubts as this is SO unlike a normal period for me. Sorry for TMI - I’ve always had very heavy periods, dark in colour with clots. This has been very very light, barely covering the pad and a lot lighter in colour with no clots. I’ve had it on and off for 4 days now.
Has anyone else had the same and it turned out to be pregnancy? I haven’t changed my diet or anything like that to suggest a change to my period flow. Also have had no AF cramps like I usually do. Normally, I have to take painkillers for them.
I think the extreme change from heavy flow to very light flow combined with the coincidental timing of the thrush has me thinking it could possibly be early pregnancy but I feel like I’m going crazy. Have also read that it’s not worth testing until a week after you’ve had the bleed in case it’s implantation bleeding. I just have no idea and am so confused.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you ❤️
