If I went into hospital for reduced movement now, would they give me an induction date or would they induce immediately? I just want to know so that I can prepare and take my packed hospital bag if so

i have UTI like symptoms too, my bladder was hurting, like a sharp shooting pain and it hurt to empty it. This happened for a day or two then went off, I don’t know if it’s because the baby was putting pressure on my bladder or what but I’m concerned that if I do have an infection that it’ll spread to the baby during induction/labour. I don’t know what to do.

They will most likely keep you in until baby is here. Take your bag and go ASAP.

You need to call your hospital and discuss with them. Nobody on here can predict what they will say as they need to make an individualised assessment of your current circumstances. Just put your hospital bag in the car and you can grab it if they are going to keep you.

At 40 weeks I'd take a bag just in case. Maybe just a small bag of basics and get someone to bring other stuff if they keep you in? Hope all goes well with your delivery!

If your bag is packed and ready to go, take it with you just in case. I'd go in now and if you need anything bringing to you get partner/friend to do so

I went in at 33 weeks for reduced movement and they kept me in two days for an infection. Take your bag and go right away. You can't predict what will happen. Good luck!

@ZuliKyanLarsFoz I would do that but I don’t have a car, I’d be dropped off and I’d have no way of getting my bag.
ill have to take it just in case

How are you doing OP? If it was me I would have just had OH/ birth partner bring bag in with them if they kept me in
