I've just found out I'm pregnant, perhaps 4 weeks gone, and I'm already starting to feel the instinct to 'nest' but... although there's lots of nice things about our current house (which we poured tons of time and money in making nice) I'm not sure I feel 100% comfortable having a baby here. The downstairs layout doesn't work for us and makes me feel claustrophobic at times, and we have a primary school playground at the back of our garden, which is incredibly noisy... the thought of trying to get a baby to sleep in the nursery (which is the box room at the back of the house) or perhaps wanting to spend time out in the garden whilst I'm on maternity with all the screaming and shouting going on fills me with dread...
I feel that we might be better moving closer to DHs parents so they can support us with childcare and where we can likely find a larger property that we can invest in for the long term. Question is should we do this asap and face all the stress of selling/ buying etc while I'm pregnant, or do we just batten down the hatches and wait it out here until baby is 6 months+ ?
Has anyone else wanted to move when they found out they were pregnant? Or is it just hormones and I am overeacting about how I feel about our house?
