I'm a FTM and looking at possible prams - has anyone had either the Bugaboo camelon or Mama's & papas ocarro and would you recommend?

I had the bugaboo cameleon with my first 10 years ago and in all honesty, I loved it so much! It was comfy, easy to use and a dream to push even on beach sand! Some say it's fiddly and a little bulky but I didn't find it to be an issue even though we had a standard hatchback at the time. This time we have gone for the fox 3 simply because it's the newer model. If the fox didn't exist, I would have got the cameleon again x

I haven’t had the Cameleon, but I have owned a Buffalo, Donkey and Bee 5. The quality of a Bugaboo is better than Mamas and Papas in my opinion. The carrycots are roomy, and replaceable parts are easily sourced from them if needed. You can change the fabrics if you are having a new baby etc too.

Also owned an Ocarro. Was lovely to push and handled countryside walks no problem. It was very heavy though.

I absolutely loved my occaro for pushing, space, comfort for the wee one but it was so heavy getting it in and out of the car, it really was the biggest downside! On that alone, I wouldn't pick it again given the option! I can't comment on the Bugaboo, as I never had one but I'd compare weight.

Thanks all this is really helpful 😊

I have both!

We use the Occaro for walking in the woods/off road trips and the chameleon day to day/pavement walking/school runs. This is purely down to how heavy the Occaro is to get in and out of the car 🙂

I tried the occaro and loved it...until I tried to lift it. If you're strong, go for it, but I have no upper body strength and knew it wasn't for me!
