Hi all I am currently 6 weeks 2 days pregnant. I have had two miscarriages both ending at 5/6 weeks. Last week I started to get brown blood on and off then it turned to red ever since on and off brown to red. I went for a scan Monday, they said eveything was fine and they could see the bleed but it was next to the sac and not worried. I have also been having really bad pains for weeks now since I found out. Today the bleeding has beacons more heavy seems to be getting heavier than going away and the pain was almost unbearable I called up early pregnancy and they just said to take pain killers and rest I have a scan on the 21st July a whole week away! I’ve been so anxious scared my mental health is awful as this is how my last two miscarriages started out! Had anyone had anything like this before? I need reassurance :(

Hi OP, sorry to hear you're going through this but take each day at a time until your scan. I know that's easier said that done but it's the best thing to do. Maybe give it another few days and call EPC again? Hope you're okay x

Thankyou! It’s just so scary and everyday is so stressful and confusing :( i wish it would all just stop so I can have a normal healthy pregnancy

Why are you even posting? Either phone 999 for an ambulance to get you to hospital, phone your GP or just get yourself to A & E. Its too serious to just wait

Hi everyone so I have recently had my 3rd miscarriage now, I have an appointment on the 30th august at the hospital as I was referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic. It says that it is very important my partner attends, I was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what to expect for the first appointment? TIA

so sorry for your loss. Tommy’s has some excellent resources regarding recurrent miscarriage and they also have v experienced midwives you can call and chat to. Hope the clinic can find some answers for you 💕

@Js21 Firstly I'm so sorry op, I had 3 miscarriages before I successfully carried my last child so I know how upsetting it is , I lost each pregnancy between 6 and 10 weeks so it was decided to put me on low dose aspirin when I next got pregnant. It's been 11 years since I went so I'm not sure how exactly it goes now at the clinics but I wish you all the best and hope they can suggest something and it's successful for you x💐

Thankyou so much and I am so sorry to hear about your losses❤️ From what week did you take aspirin? And did you have a healthy pregnancy from there! With this miscarriage I was told from the sonographer to take low dose aspirin but inform my doctor! I called the doctors and they strongly advised me not to take it so I didn’t! Now all I read is that people have taken aspirin and had healthy pregnancies and I can’t help but feel that all would of been fine if I just took it :(

I had my initial appointment over the phone because of covid asked me questions about my miscarriages, cycle etc then ordered some blood tests and for an trans-vaginal ultrasound to check my uterus. Bloods were vitamin D, clotting factors, thyroid hormones, hormones. Then had a phone appointment with the consultant who went through the results and made a plan when I next got pregnant. Vitamin D was low so got prescribed me a loading dose and now take a daily dose. Also a high dose of folic acid. If and when I get pregnant again I contact the clinic and they will give me progesterone and anti-clotting injections. Recommend aspirin from an early scan having a heartbeat. Unfortunately not been pregnant since my last miscarriage also have PCOS and think now I am 41 it isn't going to happen. I do have a 8 year old but didn't have any miscarriages before her.

@Js21 The aspirin was prescribed by the doctor at the clinic gps don't prescribe it , it's a very specific dose very small. I did go on to have a healthy pregnancy with no problem and carried to full term .

Aspirin was prescribed to me at 6 weeks because I was bleeding, it was checked and was implant bleeding. When you go to the recurrent miscarriage clinic ask them about the aspirin x
