Promethazine - anyone been on it?

I'm 2 days into starting promethazine for morning sickness and feeling awful. It's maybe made the actual vomitting slightly less but I'm still very nauseous and now really feel 'ill' too, shivery and dizzy. I've passed out several times today. Is this a normal side affect, from the drowsiness? Should I persevere? I'm taking one tablet at night. Thanks

I was on it in my first pregnancy, only side effect I remember was the drowsiness though sorry!

I wouldn't continue taking them though if they're making you feel that bad.

I don't take them for pregnancy or sickness, I'm prescribed them for sleep. I've never had any other side effects. Is there any other options? No medication suits everyone.

Thanks for the replies. I'll give it a couple more days and then see if I can try something else. Feels worse than ever at the moment!
