Second pregnancy announcement

Has anyone else had a less than overwhelming response to announcing their second pregnancy? Our 19mo is the only grandchild on both sides and the apple of everyones eye. I didn't expect a parade but both sets of parents just said congratulations and moved on the conversation! Nobody asked how I am (not a surprise after seeing how invisible I have become since having our son!) Just made me feel a bit sad for the second baby knowing nobody is going to be as excited. And for myself as I'm a second child! 😂 xx

It's even less exciting when you have your third!

When I told people about my 3rd they basically presumed it was unplanned, no happy excited cuddles.
As long as you are happy and excited ignore them! And massive congratulations!!!

I'm not quite on the same position as this is my first pregnancy but my sister had a baby last year and I know that this second grandchild for my parents won't be anywhere near as exciting unfortunately. It was a novelty with my sister's baby because that was the first baby in the family in over 20 years but the novelty has worn off now.
I'm lucky that this will be the first grandchild on my husband's side and his family (my mother in law especially) will be really, really excited.
