2 coffees a day during pregnancy

So the nespresso capsule that I have every morning is 75 mg caffeine - I'm 10 weeks and have only been having one a day so far.

Technically I'm fine to have another one, but I'm nervous about it?! I don't eat chocolate and don't drink fizzy drinks so I know I'll stay under the 200 mg....anybody else out there treat themselves to 2 coffees a day when pregnant?

I drank lots of coffee when I was pregnant… didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to! It was 20 years ago.

If that's all you have and no other food/drink that contains caffeine then you'll be fine as the limit is 200mg a day.

If it's going to worry you don't do it but you could easily get a strong coffee somewhere with about 150mg of caffeine in it so having 2 of yours is the same as that.

Exactly what my mum (who had 4 of us, all healthy) said to me!!!

Thanks so much for the responses. So I made myself the second one and now I can't bloody drink it, it's making me nauseous. TYPICAL!!!!

My general rule of thumb is one ‘proper’ coffee in my morning flask (not sure of mg but ground coffee made in a mokka pot) and a cup of tea in the afternoon. If I want more I have decaf (🤢) or herbal.
