23 weeks pregnant - leaking after peeing?

Hey guys, so I’m almost 23 weeks pregnant and I’ve noticed that the last few times I’ve been for a wee, when I stand up 1-2 drops leak out of me. Weird! Is this normal? Urine or something else? I don’t have any cramps or anything, everything seems to be going well so far (fingers crossed!). Not much leaks out at all just about a drop or two but it’s weird as it hasn’t happened before!

I also have increased discharge which MW said is normal and it just looks like normal pregnancy discharge. It’s been really hot in the UK these past few days so it might be linked to that too?

That'll probably be your pelvic floor getting weaker.

Probably! I need to pee all the time now too like every hour, it’s so annoying

I remember being told to lean forward after I've finished weeing to get every last drop out! I don't know if it actually works?!

My pelvic floor was never brilliant and pregnancy has only made it worse. Don't worry - download a kegel app on your phone (I use KPFE) and try to do some exercises when you can, the app should send you a daily reminder.

I'm at 38 weeks and have been wearing Always Discreet pads (2 or 3) for a while now. It's annoying but gives you some piece of mind. When hayfever season started they were good at catching small floods, and then I got covid and have been having coughing fits so I'd not be without them now!

After the birth there are pelvic floor physios and specialist yoga classes that cater to getting your strength back Smile

Peace* of mind, sorry stupid baby brain Gin

Yes this exact thing happened to me! Super annoying.

To add my pelvic floor was fine. I think it was maybe the urethra being pushed wonky?! Disclaimer - not a doctor 😂

Been happening to me since 17 weeks I think? I'm 19 weeks now. The thing that helps is if I remain on the toilet after I think I'm done and lean forward like PP said. I have to make sure I get every drop out or I leak 🙈
