Dreaming while being pregnant

Hi everyone

I have only recently discovered that I am pregnant and waiting for my first scan later this week.

I have read that sometimes pregnant women have strange dreams. It has been quiet for me as I keep waking up to pee in the wee hours of the morning but tonight I had a dream that I was bleeding a woke up terror. It was fine it was a dream after all.

I am sure it’s just my brain being scared and playing through different scenarios. Does anyone else has weird dreams that are not true?

Please tell me I am not alone.

Vivid dreams are often an early sign/symptom of pregnancy.

I’m 26 weeks pregnant. Last night I had a dream that I was trapped in an underwater cave and was drowning.
I’ve had awful dreams about waking up covered in blood, blood running down the walls, medical appointments where I’m told it’s not a baby it’s a tumour, horrible dream after horrible dream!

Vivid deams are common in pregnancy. Dreams are often reflections of subconscious worries. They're not premonitions so try not to worry.

@The3rdWatermelon wow, what a fantastical dream. Hope you won’t be too bothered by scary dreams. Good to know I am not alone :)

@Cakecakecheese hope so, I am just freaking out before the first scan on Thursday, perhaps that’s it.

@Regenbogen22 the thing is I love dreams normally but this one felt real that is until I woke up. Hope this is a good sign indeed!
