Bit of a weird one, this is about my last pregnancy rather than my current pregnancy.
When I was pregnant with my son, I was measuring a few days ahead at the 12 week scan, then he was around the 40th percentile at the 22 week scan and around the same at 32 weeks, which was the last time I had a proper growth scan.
I went in for monitoring at 39+4 because I was worried about reduced movement, but to this day I still don't know whether he was actually moving less than usual or whether my anxiety got the better of me. My doctor said everything looked fine but decided to induce me anyway because he said the baby didn't need to be on the inside any longer, and if there are any concerns whatsoever at 39 weeks he prefers to induce.
I was induced the next day but it didn't work so my son was eventually born by C-section at 39+5. His birth weight was only 2.74kg/6lbs, which is around the 3rd or 4th percentile.
He is now 15 months old and weighs 11kg, loves his food and is tall for his age. In fact I think he had caught up to average size by the time he was about 3 or 4 months old.
Did I have IUGR? I can't think of anything else which would explain why he was so small when he was born.
