Anyone had two sicky pregnancies and a non-sicky one?

Just wondering… I’m seven weeks today and so far not a hint of nausea. My first two pregnancies I was feeling like death from six weeks. Obviously it’s causing a bit of low level worry especially as there were problems in my last pregnancy and we ended up with a tfmr. Any experiences, good or bad?

Did you have two boys? I think you're body and react very differently to different sex babies.

Cotswoldmama · 10/07/2022 20:58

I did not think it's to do with gender. I had two boys and I was really sick at the start with my first and had no symptoms at all with my second.

I had a all-day dicky pregnancy the first time but literally a couple of times the second. I put it down to my long commute with the first but had a local p/t job with second

I wasn't sick with 1-3 (girls)
Was pretty nauseous with 4 (boy)
And felt terrible with 5 (girl)

1st preg sick from 6 weeks until birth
2nd preg sick form 10 weeks until birth
3rd preg sick from 6 weeks until birth

1st and 2nd were the same sex and made

@MrsTerryPratchett I didn’t find out the sex second time around but interesting theory!

@needadress this is interesting as well, I had a really stressful job with my first two but have changed in the last few months to a company with much better work-life balance. It kind of makes sense that stress could affect things.

@Minemineyours different onset times are interesting, nausea could still well be incoming!

I am still v tired and sore boobs so not completely symptomless. It’s the lack of nausea that’s throwing me though

The odd moment of nausea with DS, then sick daily with both DD. Only difference was that I worked full time with first, SAHM with second and part time with third. So not really sure why.

Boy, Girl, Girl. 1&2 had HG and was hospitalised through sickness, No 3 a breeze. All happy & healthy.

3 pregnancies full of being sick and nausea all the time...got worse with each pregnancy. 3rd pregnancy had to tfmr as hg made me bedridden and very ill....

AthenaPopodopolous · 10/07/2022 21:56

Terrible nausea and actual vomiting with both daughters, mild nausea with son.

Thank you everyone. Really reassuring to see a lot of variety, and no one saying that lack of nausea is a clear sign of a problem.

I'm currently 7 weeks today with DC #4, PG #7. All of my pregnancies I have been sick by now, apart from DC 1 who is my only son. It would be interesting to see if this one is male too! I expect the sickness will hit me at some stage. X

DiffuserDay · 11/07/2022 20:03

@GoT1904 ah we are very close together then, I’m 7+1! Yes hopefully (??) the sickness will be along soon 😬

I was sick this morning.. 😂😂 so it was for me. How are you? X

DiffuserDay · 13/07/2022 09:56

@GoT1904 oh no, it got you! Nothing for me yet. Not sure if I want it or not at this stage! A non sicky pregnancy would be nice but a bit of nausea would be reassuring as well.

1st pregnancy was sick until about 16/17 wks & that was a boy. 2nd pregnancy sick all the way through & had another boy. Now on my 3rd pregnancy & currently 15wks & 3 days & I've been sick once! Never felt so good in pregnancy😊 Don't know the gender yet but convinced it's another boy as sent 12wk scan pictures to a FB Nub theory group & 80% said the scan looked like a boy 👶🏻

GoT1904 · 13/07/2022 12:57

Haha it has! Both mornings in a row unfortunately. It's very manageable atm though. It's only first thing and if I eat something it disappears. X
