Movement pattern

I'm almost 29 weeks pregnant, I have an anterior placenta but I've felt baby move a lot. I haven't seemed to notice a pattern though and some days seems to be very quiet days? I've been to mat assessment before for not feeling movement but everything was fine on monitor. Is this due to the anterior placenta or is this something I should be concerned about?

Do be frightened but you do need to get assessed as soon as possible.

I accepted that my baby (sitting behind my anterior placenta) had active days and quiet days. Just as I do! Every scan was fine, every scan saw movement.

I would have been in for no reason every 3 days or so otherwise!! He's just never developed a particular pattern 🤗

I’m struggling with this too at the moment at 27 weeks and anterior placenta. Some days I can clearly feel him kicking away like mad all day and others he’s a lot quieter. I’ve been into hospital once for reduced movement and they found him with the Doppler very quickly hiding behind the placenta. The midwife said he was moving a lot and she was having to chase him round but I couldn’t feel a thing! It’s a real struggle knowing when to go in and when not to. They always say it’s best to go in if you’re not sure, but it’s hard when there’s three months left and no pattern

Hey! I've had this too, I find my baby Ahmad 2 really busy days, 1 less active then 2 where they're more quiet and it's on those days I have to make more effort to think about how much they're moving. In my head I have a cut off point for where I'll ring triage. So far I've been in once and all was fine, they found her heart beat straight away. All scans etc normal. It really is difficult to know when to go in and often I'll think she's been quiet and as soon as I think that she'll boot my in the ribs.
Oh and my placenta is high and slightly anterior so I think it can just be normal baby behaviour. Obviously please do go get checked if you're worried at all x

Sometimes the pattern is that there is no pattern! With anterior placenta baby can often get in positions where they're hiding behind it so you don't feel too much. The main thing is feeling movements regularly. Always get checked if you're even slightly unsure though.
