Looking for positive stories of IVF babies measuring behind but being fine

As the title says really. I had a frozen embryo transfer on 2nd June and then a scan at my immune/miscarriage clinic when I was 6+3 but embryo was only measuring 3.6mm / 6+0 but no heartbeat. At 7+2 I had a scan at my ivf clinic and there was a good heartbeat but only measuring 5.5mm (6+2). After the first scan the doctor was pretty pessimistic (as with ivf it's shouldn't measure behind apparently) and essentially told us to prepare for the worst. After the second scan the nurse when pushed said we probably had a 50/50 ish chance.

I'm after good news IVF frozen transfer measuring small stories. I was hoping it was just a late implantation, although I did read today that actually that can be a bad thing. It's a pgta tested eupaloid embryo. It's our 6th transfer and never had a bfp from ivf before (do I have a naturally conceived 6 year old and 3 natural early miscarriages).

My HCG tests in early pregnancy were always on the lower end of the scales (hence why I thought late implantation). I've not had any bleeding. I've not really had symptoms, but I'm on all the drugs under the sun, and I didn't really get them with my daughter.

I'm going back on Monday when I should be 8+2. Struggling to distract my mind this weekend so am embracing it by making my own thread.

Hi, I can’t really offer advice but can tell you my experience.
I had a scan at my ivf clinic at 6w1 due to bleeding and was measuring correct. Then went for my booked viability scan at 7w3 and was measuring 2 days behind. Had another scan at 9w3 when i was going to be discharged from clinic and measured 3 days behind (this scan was done at a different clinic to my normal one and was abdominal that time). Just had my 12 week scan (at 13 weeks) and im still 2/3 days behind. Noone seems too worried about it. Good luck for Monday.

@Minnie82 thank you. I'm glad your pregnancy is going well (aside from the bleed scare).

I'm hoping our little embryo has had a growth spurt this week.

@seven201 update??

seven201 · 15/12/2022 16:48

@Waitwaitwait22 it wasn't good news for me unfortunately. It can go either way I think! I now have problems with fluid in my uterus so probably more surgery needed before I can fall pregnant again. Keeping on trucking though!

@seven201 am so sorry to hear. I’m in a similar situation. I was told I was having chemical with ivf then was told likely ectopic then this week we found a sac but nothing in it so I’m back next week for another scan to see what’s going on . I had transfer on the 4th nov so I should be nearly weeks or so but the sac is measuring 5weeks 2days so Although this whole pregnancy so far I’ve been told it’s not looking good they can’t seem to give me a proper answer for some reason. I’ve literally been in limbo for the past 5 weeks not knowing if this pregnancy is viable from the start . It’s a whirlwind to say the least lol

seven201 · 15/12/2022 17:02

@Waitwaitwait22 I'm really sorry. It really is the worst. I've had three early miscarriages before but at least they were straightforward. The limbo is awful! Good luck with it. Hang in there!
