Chemical pregnancy - did you need a scan?

I've just had a CP and a gynecologist told me to go for an ultrasound to check nothing is left in the uterus (an internal ultrasound at this stage, the last thing I feel like having after all this). I live abroad so could be that things are done differently but I've never heard of anyone needing an ultrasound after a chemical.
Did you need to go for one?

Sorry to hear this, be kind to yourself. No I didn't have any scans after my chemical. I just monitored my bleed and if the my next period had been particularly late or unusual then I would have needed a follow up blood test just to check hcg but I understood this was very rarely needed. In my case my period after the loss arrived on time and was normal for me.

I hope you feel better soon. A chemical is biologically so different from a miscarriage I don't see how this is necessary at all.

I've had three early miscarriages , all 5
or 5 1/2 weeks and I didn't go to the epu or get a scan for any of them. I just checked that a pregnancy test went to negative.

Thanks a lot for your replies.

@seven201 When did your tests turn negative? I just stopped bleeding and wondering when is best to test.

Sorry, I can't remember exactly. Maybe give it a few days between each test. Not fun having to do those pregnancy tests.
