I am pregnant and we have been told baby is a boy. Since sharing this with close friends and family, we have had the strangest comments/reactions. Basically alluding that it's not as good as having a girl, that they can't imagine us having a boy, what are we going to do with a boy?!... it goes on and on
I can rationalise this as their projections for what ever reason but it has left me feeling sad and a bit disconnected to the pregnancy. I will add that I'm truly grateful for this baby regardless of their sex, so Icannot understand why these comments are making me feel this way.
Anyone else experience something similar?
