Orange fingernails?

This is so strange but I am 28 weeks pregnant and I've noticed my fingernails are turning orange ? They are not dirty it is as if it is under my nails on the nail bed. Does anyone know what this could be ?

Have you been eating satsumas?
Painted your nails a strong colour?
Had lots of carrots?

Check with your medical team asap in case it's jaundice.

Gestational diabetes would be your biggest risk. A quick test should rule that out for you.

@MumOfNowGrownupKids okay thank you, can that be the only symptom of jaundice or would my face etc be a different colour.

I'd still go to the doctor. It could be a fungal infections or it could be a haemoglobin or liver issues. If the orange is on the sides, center, and tips of your fingernails I definitely would have a conversation. If it's just because you've had your hands in the cheesy Doritos bag, you can switch to cool original flavour 😃

I would expect your face to be yellowish if it was jaundice, but I'm no expert. Jaundice can be dangerous to both you and baby so I would definitely have it checked.
